ECO NEWS!!!!!!

THE NEW ECO TEAMS HAVE BEEN CHOSEN!!! SADLY THE ENERGY BUSTERS ARE NO MORE. INSTEAD THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED BY A BRAND NEW TEAM THAT PUPILS IN OUR SCHOOL WERE SUPPOSED TO NAME BUT NOBODY COULD THINK OF A GOOD NAME!!! SO MRS. MACPHERSON AND MISS NICHOL SPENT AGES THINKING UP A NAME… WELCOME THE THREE R WARRIORS!!!

THE OTHER TEAMS ARE THE LEAN MEAN LITTER FIGHTING MACHINE AND THE GARDEN CREW. THIS YEAR THE TEACHERS DECIDED TO HAVE ECO PREFECTS AS HELPERS/DEPUT BOSSES! FOR THEIR TEAM. THE ECO PREFECT FOR THE THREE R WARRIORS IS KIERAN. FOR THE LEAN MEAN LITTER FIGHTING MACHINE IS SARAH. AND FOR THE GARDEN CREW IS STUART. EVERYBODY HAD TO SIGN A CONTRACT TO SAY THEY WILL STAY IN THEIR TEAMS FOR THE WHOLE YEAR AND NOT WANT TO QUIT.

The sea glimmered as the devils horns shot up through the rocks, on the rocky bay. Giant mountains of rocks like stepping stones lay in the water. As I walked down the slippery, steep, stone steps going further down leading to a bridge over a watery lagoon. I could see another devils horn shooting up out of the silent lagoon, into the light as I crept into the empty house as I squeezed through the stain glass door.

Once I went in, I had a garden in the room complete with a small bridge. Giant black cobwebs barred my way. I made my way up and it was like I was inside a hollowed out tooth. This was never ending it just crept into the darkness. It was like a dungeon of questions. I opened the Furness and pulled a leaver then it shot up like a gun shot just fired. As I took a look at all the leavers and tried to figure out how to work them the dungeon of puzzles came alive. When they opened up there were tiny planets for someone to follow.

I found myself in the laboratory of a mad professor. Strange body parts of an animal were hung out of a giant snail shell, an experiment gone wrong. Intestines sprawled all over the desk like small ropes. Then the lift came back down and as I stepped inside it began to move upwards. I was petrified as I arrived up at the next level. As the man reappeared my heart started to race. Then he disappeared. The lift started to move and go back down. The door was locked and then it re opened and I sprang out.

P4/5 School Trip

Our school trip to Callander House was good fun. We learned a lot about the Roman in Scotland. We examined Roman armour and wepons and chain mail. We helped to build a roman wall like Antonine wall. We formed A testudo with our shields when the Caledonians attacked us! After lunch we went for a nature walk in Callander Park with our binoculars. Liam read the map and told us which way to go! We saw many different creatures as we explored the woods.findlay&neave fell in a puddle it was a great day!

p4/5 world book day

P4/5 had fun dressing up on world book. We all dressed up as different characters. It was great ideas everyone came up with. In the after noon the hole school went down to the hall. Each class had a winner for best dressed the person who won in our class was Lewis.

Rainforest Project

In P6 we had a project to do about the rainforest we also had to make an insect from the rainforest that had to be no more than 20cm everyone had made an insect and we were all impressed!!!

we made dragon flies,caterpillers,spiders and much more.We all had good fun!!!

We made 2 volcanos out of recycled newspaper and card. We took them outside and exploded them. We used cola and mints on one, on the other we used fairy liquid, food colouring, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. The cola and mint one worked better.

Iron Man Making

In p5/6 we (Ben & Ben) have been making an Iron Man each.

My Iron Man is silver.I used two cardboard boxes for it’s body and stuffed them with newspaper & a bottle. For his neck I used a jelly pot and his head was a soup tub plus armes and legs.BenM

My Iron Man is gold.I used a box of cereal for it’s body,for it’s head i used a mini snowball tub & for it’s neck, arms & legs i used toilet roll tubes.For it’s feet i used mini cereal boxes.Ben Mc

Robert Burns assembly

On Friday 30th of January there will be a Robert Burns assembley. There will be lots of things like poems,songs and people talking. It is at 9:30 there will be lots of people for other people from different classes and there will be 1song at the end and start.
