1.My favourite part of the assembly was when we were all walking down the catwalk.

2.The funnieist thing about the assembly was when Aidan was trying to get down the stairs in his robot costume and then everyone was laughing  and then everyone started clapping when he got down the stairs.

3.I loved everyones outfits because they looked very cool.

4.The best thing was the whole assembly!

My favourite part in the recycling assembly was taking part in the catwalk.  I also liked making my recycled costume and wearing it. We also made our own instrument which i enjoyed playing.

The best harvest assembly part was when we sang the trolley song.

Roald   Dahl

I enjoyed when we made our sparkly golden tickets because I liked putting the shiny beads on it.  I liked making the big pink BFG ears and i liked putting on the hairy pink pipe cleaners.  I loved making the delcious chocolate bar, it looked so good I wanted to eat the yummy looking chocolate bar.  I really enjoyed  reading  exciting Roald  Dahl books.  They were very interesting.  I had fun making Mrs Twits eye balls.  It was a good way to finish the week.

Roald Dahl

For Roald Dahl Week this is what we did -

1. We made Golden tickets which are out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, although we chose how we made them.
2. We also made BFG ears.
3. We had to paint them two different colours, they were light pink and a darker pink but not too dark of a pink.
4. We had topic homework to do with Roald Dahl.
5. My favourite bit of this fantastic week about Roald Dahl was the homework.  It was brilliant!  By Lauren

5 weeks ago we planted our sunflower seeds.  We had pots of soil and made a hole for the seed.  We covered over the soil and gave it a good water.  Over the last few weeks we have been taking care of them by watering them everyday and making sure they had enough sunshine.  Ours grew really tall!  Adam’s was 77cm today when he took it home!  We are ready to take them home and we can’t wait to see who wins!

Last month primary 3 were learning about biodiversity and endangered animals and decided to sponsor a kiwi as they are at risk of extinction.  We learned that biodiversity is all the wildlife in the world around us, from wildflowers and insects to mammals and birds.  Biodiversity is very important to our world and we learned that all species have as much moral right to exist as we do.

Kiwis are found in New Zealand and although it is a bird it is more like a mammal.  It has tiny wings, but cannot fly and they are nocturnal which means they come out at night and sleep during the day.  Our kiwi is called Lag and he was born in December.  Sadly their numbers are decreasing but if people continue to sponsor them hopefully this will turn the kiwi numbers around.

P3 have been learning about electricity in science over the last few weeks.  We learned that it is really important to keep safe around electricity and we made a poster to tell P2 about the dangers.  We put things like don’t touch a plug with wet hands and never stick your fingers in a socket on our posters.  We think they learned lots from our posters which was excellent.  By Rebecca, Jamie T, Jamie Mac and Dean.
