The pupils of Primary 7 were evacuated to Callendar House today, away from the Clydebank blitz. We spent our time making toys and pretty hats. We made a model with a parachute, just out of bits and bobs found around the house. We also spent time in the kitchens with Mrs Brown and Polly, making delicious carrot cookies, out of rationed goods.
