Egyptian Amulets

The Ancient Egyptians made amulets of gold and precious stones.  They were worn as necklaces and were bandaged up with the mummies to protect the spirit in the afterlife.  Our amulets were scarab beetles, winged scarab beetles and Wedjat’s eye.  We made them out of clay and painted them with gold paint.  We put on lovely coloured beads to make them look even better.
