In science we have been learning how electricity gets from the power stations to our home

Pylons :

Pylons hold the over head power lines that transmit electricity from the power station all over the country.

Power lines:

Power lines are hooked to the pylons to take the power from house to house city to city and country to country.

Power stations:

The power stations is where electricity is generated. Most power stations create electricity by burning fossil fuels.

Sub stations:

A substation reduces the volts from 33,000 volts to 240 volts if there were no substations there would be billons of deaths.
