I asked the class to email me some of the things that they had learned so far this term in our Electricity topic.  We have been using www.gaggle.net as an email system.  Here are some of the replies:

A circuit keeps on going round and around or it won’t work so it has to go in a circle or square or like those shapes.

In science we have been doing circuts. Things like drawing diagrams and learning how to build one. First at the start of term we learned the signs of the items which we are going to use. We learned the sings of moters,lights,buzzers,wires,battiries also a double one, bells and more.

Then we decided to actuly draw a diagram then make them. In our ones we included a bell, we coulden’t find buzzers but we will,battiries and a moter. Once we drew this it was time to get to busy and find all the parts.

We built the circut and somethings worked and some didn’t. We had fun and mabey next time we will do a bigger and better circut.

Below there are some quick facts :

* Everything must be connected to make it work.

* Two batteries are better than one.

Circuits must all be connected with wires. Everthing is powered by battery. You can use as much equipment as long as you have enough power ffrom the batteries.

We have learned how to draw the diagrams for the equipment that we use for building circuits. There are lots of different pictures for different items.

Last week we designed our own circuits then constructed them with the equipment that we needed.

There are much more facts but we don’t have time to list them all.

Not bad so far!  We’ll be looking at how electricity gets to our houses next.  Does anybody have any information to share with us?
