P7’s have been working on World War 2. It’s been a fun topic. We have changed part of the classroom into a World War 2 living room.  We also had a project to make our own gas mask. We had a month to do it in. They all turned out really great. Some more than others. We have learned about the holocaust. The holocaust is when Jews got gassed. Recently there has been a film released about it. It’s called The Boy In The Stripped Pyjamas. We’ve been reading the book in the class. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Boy_in_the_Striped_Pyjamas. Click on the link to go to the website.  We also went to Callendar House where we had little tasks to do. I wont go into much detail though. That’s not all, we’ve also learnt about evacuees and how they had to leave home. In music we learned some World War Two songs like were going to the country, Tipperery,Pack Up you troubles, Qurtermaster’s store and the boogie woogie buggle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boogie_Woogie_Bugle_Boy. Click here to learn about The boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler. Click here to learn about Hitler.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Blitz.
