P3 have been learning about onomatopoeia in grammar this week.  We learned that onomatopoeia is a type of word that sounds like the thing it is describing.  We used our imagination and pretended we were at a fireworks display.  We had on our coats, hats and gloves.  We thought of lots of firework onomatopoeia words like crash, sizzle, woosh, boom, bang and pop.

P5LW did the same thing today. We looked at the noises fireworks made and made a poster for each.

We’ll be posting about it later in the week!
